Grounds Maintenance Volunteer Duties

 

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

FOR YOUR SAFETY, WE ASK THAT YOU WEAR SHOES THAT ENCLOSE YOUR FEET, SUCH AS SNEAKERS OR WORK SHOES.

The Maintenance Technician will give you direction on which of the duties need to be done and show you how to perform these duties. Any supplies or tools that you need will be supplied. Many of these duties are seasonal or are needed only at specific times.

The duties could include the following:

• Mowing with riding lawn mower
• Weed eating
• Trash pick up and disposal
• Tree and plant watering
• Garden weeding
• Painting and paint preparation of buildings
• Unloading of dog or cat food and litter
• Clean and straighten food or supply storage areas
• Fill holes dug by the dogs in outside pens.
