Dog & Cat Fun Days
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Sanctuary This is great for people who would like to spend hands-on time with the animals. Some volunteers consider this therapeutic for themselves and the pets! This special time helps to socialize the animals so that they are more adoptable.
The volunteers enjoy "fence time," feeding dog treats, circulating around dog runs for rubbing ears and just talking to them. When you get more acquainted with them, we encourage walking them on a leash, brushing them, or playing ball with them. In the cattery you can find a bench or chair to sit on and spend some time brushing, petting or giving out kitty treats (something they all love). If this sounds interesting to you, don't put off getting involved. Our animals depend on people like you for love and affection. Call us for directions and put it on your calendar of things to do. We are sure you won't regret it. Dog & Cat Work Days 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month at the SanctuaryYou must be at least 18 years old for this. This is another way to have hands-on time with the animals and help us do necessary treatments. During the time of the year that fleas and ticks are active, time is taken on these Saturdays to administer flea and tick prevention to the dogs and cats. At other times of the year, help is needed for special maintenance of either the animals or their areas. These activities are planned as needed, please call the office at 282-8617 if you are interested in helping. Volunteer Application *Required Adobe Acrobat Reader
