It was a morning like any other morning at Free to Live. That is until a woman pulled in with Gideon.
His condition was grave. He was emaciated, and had lost a limb previously. His eyes were matted shut and he was covered in mange. He could barely lift his head, but his gratitude was there with each encouraging word and pet.
We didn’t know then that he had both heartworms and an eye condition that causes his eyelashes to grow inward. It took us a year to ensure he was strong enough to endure the eye surgery he needed to live a normal life.
A year to the date he was brought to us, Gideon had his eye surgery. Now he can see clearly the loving world that was waiting for him.
The before and after pictures are humbling. We can’t wait to meet the special family that chooses him. He deserves to be a first choice.
Thank you, Gideon, for choosing us to join you on your journey.
