We have been so excited to talk about this – a 
walking trail for the dogs and cats of Free to Live! We have mentioned it several times in different places, but couldn’t figure out the best way to make it happen in the middle of everything else going on this year.

We have mentioned it several times in different places, but couldn’t figure out the best way to make it happen in the middle of everything else going on this year.Then the dream was put into motion thanks to a generous donor who has stepped forward with a pledge of $6,200.
As you know, we have so many dogs and cats who live their entire lives with us – be it for temperament issues or extreme medical need. The question then became how are we delivering on our promise to make sure they live their fullest lives possible? Despite our 20 acres – our current housing set up doesn’t provide for a safe place for our dogs and cats to walk with volunteers. Leash walking provides so many benefits to the dogs that simply pulling them to park areas doesn’t provide. Many of our dogs struggle with the disconnect that comes from trying to survive on your own and walking them provides an opportunity to learn how to connect again with humans. The front of our property is large enough for a 1,000 ft. trail with entry point into our large play area. This addition to property would allow for volunteers to walk (or stroll) dogs and cats safely and spend quality one-on-one time with some of our residents who need the rehabilitation the most.
All that to say – we need $8,800 to bring this dream to fruition.
