Some of our dogs and cats have been waiting a long time for their forever homes.

While we continue searching for the perfect adopters and foster families, we know that meaningful connections matter. A familiar face. A weekly outing. Someone who learns their quirks, celebrates their wins, and helps share their story.

For dogs who spend months—or even years—in our care, those relationships can make a world of difference. A walk around the property, an afternoon adventure, or simply spending time together gives them something to look forward to and helps them build confidence along the way.

That’s what our Buddy System is all about.

It’s not about making a lifelong commitment. It’s about showing up consistently for a dog who could use a friend, an advocate, and a little extra time outside of their kennel.

And sometimes, those connections grow into something even more. A foster home. An adoption. A happily ever after.
