Maintenance Person

 We are now seeking a full-time or part-time Maintenance Person to work daily with staff, our Free to Live cats, dogs and the Oklahoma community. We prefer full time but would be open to a part time individual who is wanting some extra hours in retirement! Valid Driver’s License Required.

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Person is to help maintain property and troubleshoot/repair issues that come up. The position works autonomously, so we are looking for a creative problem solver to address issues as they arise.

Tasks include:

  • Gathering Trash Across Property
  • Disposing of Litter and Buckets 
  • Maintaining vehicles on property
  • Troubleshooting/repairing mechanical issues with heaters, A/C units and electrical and drainage
  • Picking up donations as needed
  • Working with volunteer groups on building projects
  • In the Summer Months time is spent on mowing and maintaining the grounds
  • Must be able to lift up at least 50 pounds

The Maintenance Person reports directly to the Operations Director.

Health, vision and life insurance are also available after 90 days of employment. Paid Time Off earned each pay period.

Cattery and Kennel Technician

We are now seeking a Cattery and a Kennel Tech to work daily with staff, our Free to Live cats, dogs and the Oklahoma community.

The primary responsibility of the Cattery and Kennel Tech is to provide a clean and pleasing environment for the cats and dogs, tending to both their physical and mental health.

Tasks include:

Scoop Litter Boxes or Kennel Runs

  • Clean and sanitize inside floors, walls, pens and cubicles
  • Sweep and wash outside runs
  • Clean drains of debris
  • Wash any bedding
  • Scrub and sanitize feed and water bowls
  • Fill feeders and give fresh water

Additional Medical Duties:

  • Shots, Worming
  • Suture removal, wound care
  • Hydro treatments
  • Medication Administration
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Techs must also have strong verbal skills and be able to interact with the public on a daily basis.

The Cattery and Kennel Tech reports directly to the Animal Care Manager.
