Alfie was adopted from us as a young guy in 2017, and now through no fault of his own or of his family’s, he is in need of a new home to spend his golden years. This has been a heartbreaking decision for his family who loves him so much, but we are committed to finding this sweet boy a safe place to spend his golden years! “Alfie is a sweet, loyal 10-year-old neutered Sheepdog who weighs approximately 53 pounds. He has a loving heart and a wonderful personality, and he would make a devoted companion for the right family. Alfie does best in a calm, active home with a securely fenced yard where he can enjoy plenty of exercise and time outdoors. He is an alpha dog and can do well with other dogs who have a more submissive personality. Alfie is not approved for a home with cats. Like many sensitive dogs, Alfie experiences some anxiety with new environments, thunderstorms, and fireworks. With patience, understanding, and a consistent routine, he can settle in and show you just how sweet and affectionate he truly is. Alfie is being re-homed through no fault of his own. His current caretaker is 83 years old and now uses a walker, making it increasingly difficult and unsafe for her to care for him without creating a fall risk. This is a heartbreaking decision made out of love and concern for both Alfie and his caretaker. We hope to find Alfie a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by people who will appreciate his loyalty, companionship, and big personality. Please consider meeting Alfie!
