Meet Bedford! (Est DOB 2023) This sweet boy was found as a stray but clearly was someone’s beloved pet at some point, he came to us very well trained and looking for companionship. Bedford has what we call a healthy dose of “Stranger Danger,” and can be a little bit weary of new people and will greet with a growl or snarl, especially behind a fence or barrier. Once he gets to know you and warms up to you, he is an absolute love. Bedford is very smart and very sweet, but he definitely a dog for an experienced dog owner. He loves toys, going on walks, showing off his skills, and being with his person. Bedford would do well with another friendly dog, or would be fine as your one and only guy. Bedford needs an adult only home where the home is quiet with not a lot of strangers in and out; he would be a great dog to accompany someone on hikes or adventures, as he is great meeting people out in the world, but he is protective over his space and would not do well in a home with lots of friends coming in and out. Bedford is a lovely guy who needs a well versed dog parent to call his very own.
